Univergy solar will deliver the Project conjointly with a group of experienced promoters such as Quantum, Soltec, ANFACO and Buran Habitat. The Project arises from the collaboration in recent months between port authority of Vigo and companies\u00a0 and entities such as Aclunaga, CTAG, EnergyLAB, Neuwalme or Exportrends.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Project\u00a0<strong>\u201cJulio Verne\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0has the final goal of generating and dispensing renewable hydrogen for its application on logistic operations at Vigo port, both for terrestrial mobility and maritime, apart from portuary operations and industrial application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Julio Hidalgo,<\/strong>\u00a0Head of the Hydrogen Division at\u00a0<strong>Univergy Solar<\/strong>, highlighted the \u201cimportance and responsibility associated to Green Hydrogen Project\u00a0<strong>\u201cJulio Verne\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0at Vigo port, because it will be a role model to be following at the extensive portuary spanish net, not only because it will produce clean energy for themselves but because it represents technology and Jobs creations\u201d. Univergy will also contribute to the export of this model to other countries where it has businesses such as Chile or Uruguay where they have already initiated local contacts for its implementation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hydrogen generation projects from Univergy use both alkaline electrolyzers and PEM membrane technologies. These technologies are used indistinctly depending on the placement and size of the projects. Moreover, for projects linked to isolated installations and other applications at industrial and residential level, fuel cells will be used in order to satisfy generation and stability for its clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The roadmap for Green Hydrogen at Spain foresees a first phase of installation of 600MW of capacity in electrolyzers for 2024 and, at least, 4 GW for 2030. In this temporal horizon, the European strategy of Hydrogen will establish as an objective for Europe the installation of 6 GW(2024) and 40 GW(2030) of electrolyzers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Europe is betting big on massive green hydrogen use in order to accelerate energy transition. Most conservative estimates indicate that it would be needed to triple the capacity of renewable sourcing installed at this moment to actually meet demand from green hydrogen in the next 20 to 30 years.
